Couple busted anew in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a couple in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Taculing here on Saturday, May 25.

Recovered from the suspects – a 41-year-old man and his 28-year-old live-in partner – were 110 grams of suspected shabu valued at P748,000.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) head, said they conducted monitoring on the couple after receiving information on their illegal activities.

The man was the subject of the operation and considered a high-value individual.

Mogato said the woman was arrested for a drug offense in 2015 but her case was dismissed. 

In 2022, the couple was apprehended  for the same offense in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental but the case was dropped.

The couple faces drug-related charges.
