Las Piñas LGU distributes assistance to 906 TUPAD beneficiaries

A total of 906 beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa
Ating Disadvanetaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program in Las Piñas received assistance last May 20.
The distribution of assistance, which was led by Vice-Mayor April Aguilar and representatives from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Senator Bong Go’s Malasakit team, was held at Verdant covered court in Pamplona Tres.
Aguilar said the support package given to the beneficiaries consisted of grocery items, vitamins, masks, and shirts and snacks.
Selected beneficiaries were also each given sports equipment, shoes, a mobile phone, and a bicycle,
The vice-mayor emphasized the importance of community support and the role of local government in uplifting the lives of the citizens.
Aguilar praised the TUPAD program for its efforts in providing temporary employment to those in need.
Senator Go, who addressed the beneficiaries through a video call, highlighted the significance of the TUPAD program in helping workers adjust during challenging times.
The vice-mayor said the event showed the collaborative effort between local and national government entities in addressing the needs of displaced workers in the city.
