In PAGASA's tropical cyclone bulletin issued at 11 a.m., Aghon is currently over the coastal waters of San Vicente, Northern Samar.

During the public briefing, PAGASA Weather Specialist Benison Estareja explained that this landfall occurred in the past 24 hours.

"We had the first landfall yesterday at 11:20 p.m. on Homonhon Island in Guiuan, Eastern Samar," Estareja said in a mix of English and Filipino.

This was followed by the second, third, and fourth landfalls on Basiao Island, Catbalogan Samar at 4 a.m., and Caduyong Island at 5 a.m.

"We are expecting new landfalls because it has been here since early morning. So the center may hit near Masbate. Either on mainland Masbate or the eastern side of Ticao Island," he said.

"Afterwards, it may affect the surrounding areas. As it crosses Burias Island, the Ragay Gulf, and the southern portion of Quezon, it will make another landfall," he added.

It is forecasted that "Aghon" will continue to move over the coastal waters of Burias Island between this afternoon and evening.

Aghon was last seen moving northwestward at 30 kilometers per hour (kph) and maintained its maximum sustained winds of 55 near the center with gustiness of up to 85.
