Laborer, companion yield P1-M shabu

BACOLOD CITY â€“ The Philippine National Police (PNP)-Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operation Unit (PDEG-SOU)-6 (Western Visayas) arrested a construction worker and his companion in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Jose, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, May 22.

The two suspects aged 47 and 45, both residents of Barangay San Jose, yielded 156 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,060,800.

According to PDEG, the older suspect was the subject of the operation while his companion was listed No. 2 in the drugs watchlist of the town police force.

They were considered high-value individuals, according to a PDEG operative.

A PDEG operative said that the suspects were previously arrested for drug offenses.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old pedicab driver was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Zone 12A, Talisay City on Thursday, May 23.

Police seized from the suspect three grams of suspected marijuana worth P600, three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400, the P500 marked money, and P105.
