The 30-year-old playmaker recently helped the Shiga Lakes reign supreme in the Division 2 of the Japanese league and his addition will be a huge boost for SGA in the week-long cagefest.
The former Ateneo star expressed his excitement to banner the Philippine representatives as they seek to bounce back after a silver-medal finish in the 2024 Dubai International Basketball Championship last January.
"I'm really excited to be part of the Strong Group and play in the Jones Cup. It's a great opportunity for me to showcase my skills in front of our kababayans again and contribute to the team's success," Ravena said.
"Syempre, gusto ko talaga maging part ng team na ‘to at sana makabawi kami from the heartbreak we experienced in Dubai," the second-generation cager continued, citing the runner-up finish the Athletics experienced during the 2024 Dubai International Basketball Championship earlier this year.
Ravena's addition should help the Charles Tiu-mentored squad which is longing to break the five-year drought of Filipino teams in the annual tilt.
Last week, SGA announced its reinforcements in Fil-American Jordan Heading and PBA hopeful Caelan Tiongson.
The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters represented the country in the 2023 edition where they finished at fifth place.
