BACOLOD CITY – A 44-year-old employee was electrocuted while repairing an electrical wire in a funeral parlor in Barangay Sum-ag here on Wednesday, May 22.

Police identified the victim as Jennefer Raynon of Barangay Sum-ag.
Police Capt. Michael Tuburan, head of Police Station 9, said the victim was discovered unconscious by his live-in partner in a room minutes after he was seen repairing an electrical wire.
His stepdaughter immediately turned off the circuit breaker.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
The victim sustained an injury in his left eyebrow.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old senior high school student was electrocuted while harvesting mango trees in Barangay Maquiling, Sagay City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, May 23.
Police said the victim was holding a pipe that touched electrical wires. He was electrocuted and his family used a bamboo pole to move him away from the pipe.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
