Taguig LGU congratulates Christi Lynn McGarry for winning at Miss Universe Philippines 2024

The Taguig City government congratulated its bet, Christi Lynn McGarry, for winning in the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 held on May 22. 

McGarry won fourth runner-up in the beauty pageant. Chelsea Manalo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines.

“Congratulations to our very own Christi Lynn McGarry for being 4th runner up in the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night!” the city government posted. 

Besides winning fourth runner-up, McGarry won Miss Wuling 2024, Miss So-En and Miss Jewelmer. 

“Thank you for showing what it is to be a Taguigueña! You are truly the embodiment of every Filipina. Your probinsyudad is very proud of you!” the city government added. 

However, some netizens posted that McGarry deserved more. Her fashion designer, Mark Bumgarner, agreed. 

“Thank you @christi.mcgarry for a job well done tonight. You made us proud. Like most of you , I would like to ask: did we watch the same show???? Because it didnt make sense. Because you killed it tonight. KILLED,” he posted on Instagram. 

He added, “You deserved sooo much better. Our hearts are broken but you stole many hearts tonight. For that, you still you came out a winner. Love you babe! See you later! Still in shock. Need a drink. Congratulations, Christi!”

1st Runner-up - Stacey Daniella Gabriel (Cainta)

2nd Runner-up - Maria Ahtisa Manalo (Quezon)

4th Runner-up - Christi Lynn McGarry (Taguig)
