President Marcos believes that Tawi-Tawi has achieved peace and expressed elation over it.

During his visit in the province to distribute assistance to El Niño-hit areas, Marcos said he was happy to see a peaceful Tawi-Tawi and encouraged its people to keep working together to maintain the peace and order in their place.
Because of your cooperation and unity, the peace will continue to grow and our country will continue to progress)," Marcos said in his speech on Thursday, May 23.
"Ako po ay tunay [na] natutuwa sa kapayapaan na inyong tinatamasa ngayon (I am truly happy that you are experiencing peace now)," he added.
The President said the government will continue to implement projects in the region such as the Improving Growth Corridors in Mindanao Road Sector Project, which involves the construction of three roads in Tawi-Tawi.
This will address the need for transportation and the improvement of your livelihood, as well as in maintaining peace and order in your place)," Marcos said.
Marcos also committed to the people of Tawi-Tawi that government interventions will continue to reach the Bangsamoro Region to mitigate the effects of El Niño.
We will ensure that help, programs of the government, and opportunities will reach our countrymen, especially those in far-flung places like Basilan, like Tawi-Tawi)," he said.
Marcos led the distribution of cash assistance to 10 selected beneficiaries in the province, as well as P10 million each to the Provincial Governments of Tawi-Tawi and Basilan.
