Malabon LGU announces winners of 'Ginoo at Binibining Malabon 2024'

The local government of Malabon City has announced the winners of the “Ginoo at Binibining Malabon 2024” during the grand coronation night held at the Malabon Sports Complex on Tuesday, May 21.

Named Ginoo and Binibining Malabon were Ginoong Panghulo - Elishua Balinton and Binibining Potrero - Prima Joy Alamban. They received P60,000 each.
First runner-up Ginoong Tonsuya - Enzo Medina Unday and Binibining Tonsuya - Crizzsha Alfonso Pilapil received P50,000 each. Second runner-up Ginoong Tugatog - Justine Saenz and Binibining Tugatog - Carrhyll Manicad received P40,000 each. Third runner-up Ginoong Muzon - Nikko Hintay and Binibining Panghulo - Danielle Cruz received P30,000 each while 4th runner-up Ginoong Tañong Daniel Casimiro and Binibining Ibaba Leslie Ladesma received P20,000 each.
The 42 candidates represented their barangays with pride, passion, and dedication as they walked on stage wearing their swimwear, formal attire, and Tambobong festival costumes inspired by the city's different products, beliefs, culture, and history. They also promoted their advocacies.
The city government stated that the pageant offers a platform to young Malabuenos for their community development initiatives and to assist others in achieving their dreams. It also represents gender equality and promotes local culture, heritage, and arts tied to the city's history, aiming to raise awareness on important societal issues.

Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval led the coronation night along with City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete, Philippine Red Cross (PRC) - Malabon Chapter Chairman Ricky Sandoval, city councilors, and department heads.
In her speech, Sandoval encouraged the candidates to continue their advocacies and inspire the youth to participate in various city government activities.
“Pagbati sa ating mga nagagandahan, nagagwapuhang, at matatalino na mga kandidato ng Ginoo at Binibining Malabon 2024. Inyong ipinakita ang inyong dedikasyon at puso sa pagharap ng iba't ibang mga hamon na nagpakita ng inyong angking galing at puso na nagpapakita ng inyong pagiging tunay na kabataang Malbueño. Ipinamalas niyo ang inyong galing, talino at kumpiyansa sa sarili na ating maipagmamalaki kanimuman. Ipagpatuloy ninyo ang pagsulong sa inyong iba't ibang mga adbokasiya na naglalayong mas mapabuti ang ating bayan at ang pamumuhay ng bawat Malabueño. Nawa ay maging inspirasyon kayo sa mga kabataan na makilahok at tumulong sa iba't-ibang gawain ng ating pamahalaang lungsod tungo sa patuloy na pag-ahon ng Malabon (Greetings to our beautiful, handsome, and intelligent candidates of Ginoo and Binibining Malabon 2024. You have shown your dedication and heart in facing various challenges, demonstrating your innate talent and spirit, exemplifying your true identity as young Malabueños. You have displayed your skills, intelligence, and self-confidence that we can all be proud of. Continue to advance your various advocacies aimed at improving our town and the lives of every Malabueño. May you inspire the youth to participate and help in the various activities of our city government towards the continuous progress of Malabon),” she said.
Meanwhile, City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (CTCAO) head Catherine Larracas said that the winners of Ginoo and Binibining Malabon will serve as ambassadors who will lead programs that are aligned with their advocacies to effect positive change within their chosen vulnerable sectors.
Larracas added that the candidates were judged by a panel of judges based on criteria that included scores from preliminary rounds such as the swimwear competition, talent competition, Tambobong festival attire, and evening gown, as well as their wit and intelligence, beauty and poise, confidence, and personality.
The panel of judges included Miss Universe Philippines National Director and Miss Universe 2021 runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, Mister Supranational 2023 runner-up and Bida Man Alumnus Johannes Rissler, Miss Hanna’s World Tourism Philippines 2018 and Miss Universe Philippines 2021 top 15 Nicole Jane Minano, Cornerstone Artist, former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate, and Mr. National Earth 2023 Michael Very Comaling, University of the Philippines professor Dr. Zenaida Beltejar, Department of Tourism (DOT) - National Capital Region (NCR) Regional Director Sharlene Batin, and Binibining Pilipinas Officer and Director Raymond Villanueva.
The local government unveiled the city’s commemorative stamp and launched the “Malabueño Ako” theme song, symbolizing the history and continuous growth of the city and the pride of its residents.
Rosete emphasized that the pageant highlighted the excellence, intelligence, and dedication of the candidates advocating for the improvement of the residents' well-being.
“Muli nating inilunsad ang Ginoo at Binibining Malabon upang maipakita at maipagmalaki ang husay, talino, at dedikasyon ng mga kabataang Malabueño na buong pusong nagsusulong ng kanilang mga adbokasiya na naglalayong mas mapabuti ang kalagayan ng mga mamamayan. Ito ay parte ng ating selebrasyon ng Cityhood at Founding Anniversary, na kung saan layunin nating mas maiangat at maipagmalaki ang sariling atin, at mahikayat ang mamayan na makiisa sa ating mga Gawain para sa ating patuloy na pag-ahon (We relaunched the Ginoo and Binibining Malabon to showcase and be proud of the excellence, intelligence, and dedication of young Malabueños who wholeheartedly advocate for the improvement of the people's welfare. This is part of our Cityhood and Founding Anniversary celebration where we aim to uplift and take pride in our own and encourage citizens to participate in our endeavors for our progress),” he said.
Moreover, the pageant was part of the city’s 23rd Cityhood Anniversary and 425th Founding Anniversary celebration, engaging the candidates in various activities such as charity events, competitions, preliminary interviews, personality development seminars, and the Grand Sagalahan 2024.
