As the hours tick down to the grand coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2024, pageant experts are placing their bets on Ahtisa Manalo, a frontrunner from Quezon Province, to be crowned at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Paranaque City on May 22.

Popular pageant site Missosology and pageant coach and vlogger Norman Tinio forecast Ahtisa to win the competition.

"I chose Ahtisa Manalo to win Miss Universe Philippines 2024. Her consistency pluses are much too hard to ignore," said Norman in his prediction.

Norman's Top eight candidates are: Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province (Queen of Consistency), Victoria Velasquez Vincent of Bacoor (Ethereal Queen), Christi McGarry of Taguig City (Queen of Global Appeal), Stacey Gabriel of Cainta (Queen of Mic Drop), Alexie Brooks of Iloilo City (Queen of Diversity), Tarah Valencia of Baguio City (Most Promising Queen), Chelsea Manalo (Queen of Timed Surprises), and Kris Janson of Cebu (Queen of Transformation).

In Missosology's Top 5 are: Christi Lynn McGarry, Kim-Victoria Vincent, Alexie Mae Brooks and Justine Tarah Marie Valencia.

"Miss Quezon Ma. Ahtisa Manalo is not really the rational choice for the crown. She didn’t even make it to the top in any of the previous Hot Picks. Her interview proficiency needs polishing and so is her catwalk skills. Her beauty is for Miss International not Miss Universe. However, that overwhelming feeling that she’s “the one” can’t be denied.

"One beauty expert who saw the prelims first-hand confessed that Ma. Ahtisa is one of those contestants who aced the competition. The rest of the panel who saw the competition online also agreed. It is not so much on technical grounds, but rather it is more about her overall aura and vibe on why she is the predicted winner of Miss Universe Philippines 2024."

Widely anticipated by viewers nationwide, this year’s event will be hosted by Emmy Award-winning producer, host, and advocate Jeannie Mai, alongside Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards, Global Endorser Gabbi Garcia, Miss Universe 2022 R’bonney Gabriel, and popular eventologist Tim Yap.

This year's coronation night shines a spotlight on cultural diversity, compassion for children and animals, LGBTQIA rights, environmental stewardship, women's empowerment, support for the creative industry, and solidarity with migrant workers with its inspiring theme “Love for All.”

53 exceptional delegates from all over the country will compete for the coveted crown to succeed Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, and get the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the next Miss Universe pageant.

The coronation night will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 22, while the delayed telecast will be available on May 26,  9 a.m. nationwide and 9:45 a.m. in Central and Eastern Visayas, on GMA Network.
