24 fall in Bulacan police dragnet for illegal drugs, gambling, other crimes

Fifteen drug peddlers, six wanted persons, and three illegal gamblers were arrested by members of the Bulacan police in a series of intensive anti-crime operations conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 21, and 22.

In reports submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the drug-sting operation was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Malolos and Meycauayan City, Guiguinto, San Rafael, San Miguel, Calumpit, and Angat. 

Confiscated from the arrested suspects were the buy-bust money and 52 plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.

The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit. Appropriate criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.

Meanwhile, six individuals wanted for various crimes and offenses were apprehended by tracker teams from Malolos City, San Rafael, Guiguinto, Norzagaray, and Bulakan. The arrested have been placed under the custody of the arresting stations.

Three persons were arrested by personnel of the City of San Jose Del Monte in the act of engaging in an illegal gambling activity (cara y cruz) at Towerville, Brgy. Sto. Cristo at about 8:00p.m. on May 21. Confiscated from the suspects were three pieces of P1 coin used as a pangara and bet money in different denominations.
