BACOLOD CITY – Two persons died after their motorcycle crashed into a mini-truck parked on the roadside in Barangay Cartagena, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday night, May 21.

Police identified the fatality as Adrian Paulino, 21, but withheld the name of his 15-year-old companion. Both victims were residents of Barangay Cartagena.
Police Lt. Col. Fernando Somblingo Jr., Sipalay police chief, said the minor was driving the motorcycle on their way to buy an ice when they hit the rear part of a truck around 11:35 p.m.
Somblingo said the victims might have not noticed the truck as the area was not well-lighted and raining at that time.
The victims were ended up under the truck. They sustained severe injuries as they were not wearing safety gears, according to Somblingo.
Both victims were declared dead in a hospital.
