ILOILO CITY – Police Col. Bayani Razalan has presented his one-month accomplishment as Iloilo Police Provincial Office chief.

“To my dear Ilonggos, thank you for your unwavering trust and cooperation. Let us continue to work together to sustain the gains we have achieved. To the brave Ilonggo cops, let us remain steadfast in our commitment to justice, service, and integrity,” said Razalan, IPPO officer-in-charge.
Razalan replaced Police Col. Ronaldo Palomo last April 19 as police chief of the province consisting of 42 towns and the component city of Passi.
“The past 30 days have flown by and I look forward to spending more productive months or even years with you,” added Razalan.
On top of Razalan’s accomplishments was the seizure of P10.1-million worth of suspected shabu. A total of 1,487.34 grams of shabu were confiscated and 41 suspected drug pushers were caught in 41 anti-drug operations from April 19 to May 19.
Ninety-six individuals were nabbed in the campaign against wanted persons. Fifteen were classified as most wanted persons.
Twenty-eight persons were caught in 15 operations in the campaign against illegal gambling. Bet money totaling P16,173 were recovered.
In the campaign against illegal firearms, 10 persons were arrested and nine firearms were seized. Thirty-seven unlicensed firearms were surrendered and seven firearms with expired licenses were temporarily deposited in police stations for safekeeping.
The IPPO, with Bantay Dagat Task Forces, apprehended 19 people for illegal fishing. Ten fishing vessels were impounded.
The IPPO collaborated with the Provincial Task Force Anti-Overloading and apprehended 26 drivers for illegal quarrying operations.
Four persons were arrested for illegal logging.
