Operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) on Tuesday, May 21, said they are now hunting down the suspect who repeatedly stabbed a 24-year-old man in Tondo, Manila on May 19.
MPD identified the suspect at large as Alexander Banzuelo, and the deceased victim as Jester Mullet, both residents of Permanent Housing, Barangay 128, Balut, Tondo, Manila.
According to the police report, the stabbing incident happened inside Permanent Housing, Barangay 128, Balut, Tondo, Manila.
Police said the victim was walking in front of Building 24 when the suspect attacked and stabbed him from behind several times.
The suspect then fled on foot towards the direction of Building 21.
Authorities said the incident was reported to them around 7 p.m. on the same day. They were able to recover the weapon used in the killing.
The body of the victim was brought to the facility of Sanctuary Funeral, police said.
Meanwhile, investigation disclosed that the motive in the killing emanated from an incident that occurred in April this year, where the suspect was involved in a theft incident and left a threatening remark that he will kill the victim in any opportune time.
