Laborer, pal caught in drug bust, yield P3-M shabu

SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna – A construction worker and his companion were arrested and suspected shabu worth P3.4 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in the open parking lot of a mall in Barangay Tagapomon here on May 20.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 4-A identified the suspects as Dans, 32, male, construction worker, and Alvin, 27, jobless. Both were residents of Barangay Barangka Drive, Mandaluyong City. 

Recovered from the suspects were 500 grams of shabu valued at P3.4 million and the buy-bust money.  

The suspects face charges for violation of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
