Pops Fernandez on love: 'Hindi ko na hinahanap'

Pops Fernandez recently admitted she has been loveless and for almost a decade now.

But unlike most she’s not losing sleep over it.

She told us during a recent meeting, “Hindi kailangan hanapin ang love e, darating na lang yan, mararamdaman mo na lang yan.”

Sounding a tad wistful, she added, “Actually, ako hindi ko na hinahanap. Hinanap ko dati wala naman...”

Does this mean she is no longer receptive to the idea?

“No naman,” she answered. “But I do believe if it comes, it comes so, yeah, I’m in no rush. Masaya naman ako e.”

She continued, “I’m perfectly okay with the way things are. I’m busy with work, I go out with friends, family, I travel...”

“But to be clear, hindi ko sinasarado ang pinto ko sa love. If the right one comes along, why not? It’s just that siguro wala pa talaga...”

Maybe she is being too choosy, we opined.

“I’m not,” the 57-year-old newly-minted grandmom shot back. “Magiging choosy pa ba ako at this point?”

“If anything, ang gusto ko lang talaga is to make sure na single siya...”

Does she go out on dates?

“Not lately kasi I’m quite busy,” Pops related.

“I have several upcoming projects that I really can’t reveal just yet. Malalaman din ninyo yan soon.”
