Reyan Arinto, Philippine Information Agency-8 regional director, highlighted the significance of Marcos' visit that will benefit 5,905 agrarian reform beneficiaries in the region.

"This also signifies the government's commitment to ensure that the farmers receive legal ownership of the land they till," Arinto added.

A total of 7,974 hectares spread across Region 8 will be given to landless farmers during the awarding ceremony.

Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III will participate in the distribution of electronically generated titles supported by the World Bank-funded Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project.

Marcos will also hand over infrastructure projects valued at over P509 million to local government units and provide farm machinery and equipment to select Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations.

These endeavors, funded by the agency, aim to bolster support for ARBs in line with Estrella's nine-point agenda to boost agricultural productivity and enhance the income of beneficiaries.
