Nazarro urges PRO-13 officers to lead by example

BUTUAN CITY – Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro urged regional provincial and city mobile force commanders, provincial and city directors, and municipal chiefs of police in Northeastern Mindanao to lead by example.

“Gone are those days when leaders say ‘You do what I say, but do not do what I do.’ Now, let us lead by example. Uunahan dapat natin ang mga tao upang sumunod sila,” Nazarro said during his first flag-raising ceremony at the helm of the PRO-13 in Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez here on Monday, May 20.

Nazarro laid down points that should be observed under his leadership starting with the personal safety and welfare, security of respective units, possible localized assignment of troops, and enhancement of the marksmanship skills of the Caraga police.

“To end, I want you to enjoy my presence and my directives because, if you don’t, you will only be doing things halfway. You enjoy your job as police officers and as public servants,” Nazarro said.

Nazarro took over as the 22nd regional director of the PRO-13 vice Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft on May 16 at the PRO-13 headquarters in the presence of PNP chief Police Gen. Rommel Francisco D. Marbil.
