Manila Hotel's grand Fiesta Pavilion dazzled with the beauty of 53 lovely candidates from all over the country competing in Miss Universe Philippines 2024 as the pageant held its  much-awaited preliminary competition last Sunday, May 19.

The candidates paraded in elegant evening gowns made by their chosen designers and strutted through the runway in figure-hugging swimwear. 

Their performance will determine whether they will make it to the semifinals which will be announced during  the MUPH 2024 grand coronation night. It will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, May 22.

Previously, there were  pre-pageant challenges, the results of which were determined by the voting public online on Facebook. 

These included the Swimwear Challenge, the "Up Close & Personal" personality interviews and the Runway Challenge. Winning the challenges also guaranteed a spot in the semifinals.

During Sunday's preliminaries, the contestants were in top form and a sight to behold. Equally eye-catching was the interior design of official MUPH master stylist Tei Endencia who transformed Fiesta Pavilion's majestic stage into a classy vision of gold and black.

Also in the prelims, special awards were given by the sponsors to the candidates which best exemplify their brand. These are:
