Las Piñas Mayor Aguilar welcomes young jiu jitsu champion

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar hailed six-year-old jiu jitsu champion Jeon Bradley Dela Cruz for bringing pride to the city during a courtesy visit at the City Hall on May 16.
Aguilar said Dela Cruz competed in the ASEAN International Jiu Jitsu Open Championship 2024 held at the Festival Mall Alabang last February 17 where he won the gold medal in the Kindergarten Rooster division.
The mayor also said that in addition to Jeon’s recent victory, he also participated in the Marianas Pro Manila Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championship 2024 and again won another gold medal in the same division.
Aguilar said Jeon’s achievements in these prestigious competitions highlight his talent and dedication to the sport.

The mayor congratulated Jeon on his accomplishments and expressed the city's pride over his representation of Las Piñas in an international level.
Aguilar noted that Jeon’s success at such a young age is commendable and brings great honor to the city.
She emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication which Jeon has clearly demonstrated through his achievements.
The mayor added that Jeon’s achievements serve as an inspiration to young athletes in Las Piñas, proving that with commitment and support, they can reach their goals.
