Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano ordered the resumption of face-to-face classes (F2F) in all levels, both in public and private schools, in view of the decreasing heat index on Monday, May 20.
Rubiano said based on the forecast of the PAGASA-DOST on Sunday, May 19, the heat index in the city will decrease from 41 degree Celsius.
She said the city government will continue to monitor the heat index in the city.
The mayor reminded the school authorities to ensure that all classrooms and other facilities are well ventilated for the safety of the students, teachers, and school staff.
Rubiano also reminded the students and teachers to keep hydrated, stay in shaded areas, wear fresh clothing, and avoid being exposed under the sun for an extended period.
