Hard Rock Cafe Makati and Manila introduce contenders for the Hard Rock World Burger Tour 2024

Hard Rock Cafe Makati and Manila have thrown their locally developed Sisig, Adobo, and Jackfruit burgers into the ring for the return of the Hard Rock World Burger Tour competition, where cafes around the world compete to have their special new burgers added to the menu. 

Back by popular demand, the Hard Rock Cafe World Burger Tour encourages local cafe team members to show off their creativity and culinary skills by submitting unique burger recipes that elevate the classic, fan-favorite meal. Based on their popularity with guests, these three Pinoy-inspired burgers have the chance to achieve stardom with a permanent place on the global Hard Rock Cafe burger menu.

The Contenders
The delicious Sisig Burger was inspired by the fusion of two popular Filipino dishes: Sisig and burgers. The idea came to the creator when they wanted to combine the savory, crispy flavors of Sisig with the comfort of a juicy burger. The result is a unique culinary experience that brings together the best of both worlds, delighting food enthusiasts with its bold and unconventional taste.

Meanwhile, the inspiration behind the Adobo Burger came from blending Filipino flavors with a classic American dish. It celebrates cultural fusion, offering a taste of home to Filipino food lovers while introducing new flavors to a wider audience. This dish combines savory Adobo marinade with juicy patties, topped with a tangy slaw, all nestled in a soft bun.

The Jackfruit Burger, on the other hand, was inspired by the desire to create a plant-based, nutritious, and delicious alternative to traditional meat burgers. A chef, passionate about experimenting with unique flavors and textures, combined jackfruit's natural fibrous nature with a blend of spices to mimic the taste and feel of a juicy burger, making it a popular choice for vegans and non-vegans alike.

"We are so excited to offer the Sisig, Adobo and Jackfruit Burgers to our Manila and Makati guests as we pay homage to Adobo and Sisig, two of the most popular and recognizable dishes that the Philippines has to offer. World Burger Tour
Hard Rock Cafe International is holding a “World Burger Tour,” a competition to find the best burger among participating countries worldwide.

Competitors will create their own versions of Hard Rock Cafe’s legendary burger, focusing on unique flavors, toppings, and presentations. The aim is to showcase the culinary talents of Hard Rock Cafe chefs with innovative burgers.

The winning burger from each cafe will compete globally for a spot on the World Burger Tour. The top 10 burgers, based on HRI’s criteria, will vie for the top 5 spots in the competition.

Catching the Tour
Available until June 13, 2024, the Adobo Burger will be offered exclusively at Hard Rock Cafe Makati, the Sisig Burger at Hard Rock Cafe Manila, and the Jackfruit Burger at both branches.
