The fifth of May or Cinco de Mayo marks a special occasion for our Mexican brothers and sisters as on that day in 1862, they became victorious over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. Through the years, the day became more than just an observance of their victory but a celebration of the Mexican culture, cuisine, and heritage worldwide, including the Philippines.
This year, Cinco de Mayo falls on a weekend with many food establishments hosting their version of the Mexican celebration. From margarita parties to a bounty of Mexican treats, here are the best places to celebrate Cinco de Mayo 2024 in Manila.

BGC is celebrating Cinco de Mayo in partnership with Patron and a roster of Bonifacio South Street's resto-bars, namely Bolero, Cochi, Tartufo, Bueno, Wong Place, and Wantusawa. Join The Tasting Club's al fresco dining experience and indulge in traditional Mexican specialties with 100 percent pure agave tequila shots and classic Margaritas.
