Over P1.3-M shabu seized in QC buy-bust


The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced on Thursday, May 2, the arrest of a 24-year-old man in a buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of P1,360,000 worth of shabu on Tuesday, April 30.

Members of Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) and Drug Enforcement Group Special Operation Unit 4A (DEU-SOU 4A) arrested suspect Elijah Andrew Pe Benito in an entrapment operation at around 3:30 p.m. at Epifanio De Los Santos Avenue (EDSA) Balintawak, Barangay Apolonio Samson, Quezon City.

A police officer, who posed as a buyer, and successfully bought P1,000 worth of shabu from the suspect.

Police confiscated from the suspect 200 grams of shabu worth P1,360,000, a white bag, a cellular phone, a black sling bag, a green and black wallet, a green pocket knife, two identification cards , an ATM card, two lighters, a motorcycle, and the buy-bust money.

Benito will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
