Jobseekers troop to Labor Day job fair in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Hundreds of jobseekers flocked to a job fair organized by the Department of Labor and Employment here during the 122nd Labor Day celebration on May 1  with the theme “Sa Bagong Pilipinas: Manggagawang Pilipino, Kabalikat at Kasama sa Pag-asenso.”

A total of 4,200 job vacancies were offered by 45 employers – 2,200 local and 1,800 overseas.

Applicants lined up as early as before the opening of the mall where the job fair was held.

Among the activities held in relation to the job fair were distribution of government assistance under the TUPAD program, Talentadong Obrero (talented workers), one-stop shop service, Servicio para de Obreros (services for workers), and a medical mission.
