Couple murdered in house in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A couple was found dead in their house in Sitio Manaysay, Barangay Cambayobo, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, May 1.

Police Major Ronald Santillan, Calatrava police chief, said neighbors heard a loud noise in their house on Tuesday night, April 30.

However, they neighbors ignored the loud noise until they wondered why the victims did not go out of their house on Wednesday.

Their neighbors sought help from barangay tanods or watchmen who discovered the victims' bodies.

The couple sustained a bullet wound each in the head.

Santillan said the victims were farmers and had no derogatory record in the barangay or the police.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
