3,614 employment opportunities offered at Bulacan's Labor Day Job Fair

Applicants filled the Event Center of SM City Marilao during the Labor Day Job Fair on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, participated in by at least 41 companies across the province. The Labor Day Job Fair recorded a total of 3,614 job openings, including SM Supermall career opportunities. The job fair in Bulacan on Labor Day generated a total of 3,614 job openings.

Organized by the Department of Labor and Employment Region III (DOLE-R3), Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) headed by Atty. Jayric Amil, Marilao town Mayor Henry Lutao, and Vice Mayor Jun Bob Dela Cruz, the job fair was held at SM Marilao, on Wednesday, May 1.

May Lynn Gozun, DOLE Bulacan provincial director, said a total of 41 companies participated in the job fair . She said out of the 278 applicants, at least 57 job seekers were hired on the spot.

Emmanuel Gatmaitan, SM Marilao mall manager, said the public-private partnership between SM and government agencies, through events such as job fairs, creates opportunities for growth. “At SM, we believe in fostering thriving communities where everyone can flourish. When jobs are created in our cities and towns, everyone benefits,” Gatmaitan added.
 

Jobseekers also took advantage of the One-Stop Shop which helped in the processing of relevant requirements such as SSS, PhilHealth, PhilSys, and Pag-IBIG membership. 

Another job fair is scheduled on May 10 at SM Center Pulilan.
