2 dead in motorcycle-van collision in Ilocos Sur

SAN ESTEBAN, Ilocos Sur – Two persons were killed and another was injured in collision between a motorcycle and a closed van in Barangay San Pablo here before dawn on Wednesday, May 1.

Police identified the victims as Joseph C. Tuscano, 55, driver of the motorcycle, and his back rider Geraldine Garcia Loleng, 56.

Investigation said the northbound van collided head-on with the southbound motorcycle on a curve part of the national highway.

Due to the strong impact of the collision, the victims slumped on the road and their motorcycle was dragged underneath the van.

The driver of the van, Manuel F. Nepumoceno Jr., 30, was injured and is now under police custody.
