186 hired on the spot in Parañaque's Labor Day mega job fair

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said a total of 186 job applicants were hired on the spot during the conduct of the mega job fair on Labor Day, May 1.
Olivarez said the job fair, which carried the theme “Job Fairs sa Bagong Pilipinas: Manggagawang Pilipino, Kabalikat at Kasama sa Pag-asenso”in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) was held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.
He said 65 companies participated and offered 3,215 job openings for job seekers.
The mayor said national agencies also participated in the job fair to help in the processing of necessary documents.
Olivarez said 586 residents participated in the job fair.
He thanked District 1 Councilor Pablo “Paolo” Olivarez II, DOLE-Muntaparlas Field Office Director Leonides Castillon Jr., DOLE NCR Assistant Director Atty. Olivia O. Obrero-Samson, and TESDA MunTaParLasTaPat Director Atty. Angeline Chaves, and Congressman Edwin Olivarez's Chief of Staff Atty. Ding Soriano.
