The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Guiuan, Eastern Samar experienced a 50-degree Celsius (°C) heat index on Sunday, May 19.

This heat index is only 1°C lower than the 51°C heat index recorded on May 18 and only 2°C below the "extreme danger" category.

PAGASA reported that Roxas City, Capiz recorded a heat index of 48°C, followed by Virac (Synop), Catanduanes at 46°C.
The heat index reached 45 in Iba, Zambales and 44 °C in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Pasay City, Metro Manila; Casiguran, Aurora; Sangley Point, Cavite; Mambusao, Capiz; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Dumangas, Iloilo; Catarman, Northern Samar; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur.
A heat index of 43°C was logged in Ambulong, Tanauan Batangas; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Cuyo, Palawan; Panglao International Airport, Bohol; Tacloban City, Leyte; and Dipolog, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Meanwhile, it reached 42°C in Science Garden Quezon City, Metro Manila; Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Aparri, Cagayan; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; ISU Echague, Isabela; Baler (Radar), Aurora; Cubi Pt., Subic Bay Olongapo City; Coron, Palawan; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Aborlan, Palawan; Legazpi City, Albay; Juban, Sorsogon; CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur; Catbalogan, Samar; Borongan, Eastern Samar; Davao City, Davao Del Sur; and Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte.
On May 19, 36 areas reached the "danger" heat index.
