The younger Karl Eldrew first took the limelight by capturing the vault gold medal in the junior division with an average score of 14.283, beating Kazakhstan’s Altynkhan Temirbek (14.183) and hometown bet Sarvar Abdulfaizov (13.766).

It was a big improvement from last year’s performance where he settled for silver.

A few hours later, older brother Carlos displayed his world championship form and collected two more gold medals to finish the tournament with four golds in the senior division.

The two-time world champion first reigned supreme in vault with an average of 14.883, beating Uzbekistan’s Abdulaziz Mirvaliev (14.783) and Malaysia’s Muhammad Sharul Aimy (14.66).

He followed it up with a golden performance in the parallel bars, posting an impressive 15.133 ahead of China’s Yin Dehang (15.033) and Uzbekistan’s Rasuljon Abdurakhimov (14.866).

The Tokyo Olympian, however, fell short in landing a podium in the horizontal bar by finishing fourth with 13.433 behind bronze medalist Liao Jialei of China, who scored 13.800.

Kazakhstan’s Milad Karimi bagged the gold with 15.033 while China’s Tian Hao went home with the silver with 14.300.

Prior to these feats, Carlos pocketed gold medals in the individual all-around and the floor exercise.

His impressive showing in the tournament underscored his readiness for the 2024 Paris Olympics where he hopes to win a medal this time after coming close to the podium in Tokyo.
