Man of the Philippines 2024 winners get ready for international pageants

The 4th edition of Man of the Philippines (MOPH)  2024 was not just an ordinary event where the winner was crowned in one night. It took the distinction of being the "first male pageant to do a reality series in the Philippines," said executive producer Gilbs Espiritu of Star Realms Entertainment Production and co-producer Vaughn Abrasado of Hue TVEverywhere.

The 17 contestants stayed for 10 days at Forest Crest Nature Hotel and Resort in Batulao, Nasugbu, Batangas, where they were judged based on their fitness, appearance, personality, advocacy, the substance of their stories, and other factors. 

Finally, pageant veteran and licensed mechanical engineer Jupheter Franco was named Man of the Philippines 2024, winning a cash prize of P150,000 plus other perks. The six-foot looker from General Santos City has been helping street children for the past 10 years through Batang Star Philippines. He will represent the country in Mister Continental World, slated to be held in Pattaya, Thailand, from May 30 to June 3.

During an event held at the Crown Regency Hotel in Makati, the other winners of MOPH 2024 were also announced. They are:

Rhenzwin Corpuz is a 24-year-old entrepreneur from Ilocos Sur who was adjudged Man of the Philippines Nationalism. He comes from the heritage city of Vigan and is a strong proponent of cultural preservation as a vehicle for promoting historical understanding and diversity. He will be the country's delegate to the Conwor World Fitness Supermodel  2024 competition, which will be held in Thailand.

Jhun Lloyd Villagracia, a 21-year-old tourism management student from Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu, was named Man of the Philippines Integrity. He advocates "fostering the youth through self-efficacy," which empowers them to strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives. He will compete in Mister Culture International, which will be held in Indonesia.

Lastly, Sharuen Hafeel - also from Cebu City - was declared Man of Advocacy and Mister World Heritage Philippines, and they will compete in India.

The whole MOPH 2024 competition slash reality series comprises 12 episodes, which are shown on Star Realms Entertainment Production's YouTube channel.  The director is  Raymund Seranillo.
