The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a 5.2-magnitude quake that struck Sarangani on Saturday afternoon, May 18.

Based on Phivolcs’ data, the earthquake struck at 2:26 p.m., with an epicenter 305 kilometers (km) southwest of Kiamba, Sarangani.
The said quake was tectonic in origin and had a deep focus of 552 km.
As of writing, there have been no reported intensities, and Phivolcs expects no damage or aftershocks.
