This came two weeks after the confiscation of shabu valued at P146.2 million touted to be the largest cache of illegal drugs seized in Zamboanga Peninsula.
The PDEA said a lone suspect was arrested in the operation in a gasoline station on Gov. Camins Ave. – Alnasher Mudah, a 42-year-old businessman from Barangay Talon-Talon.
Police seized 16 kilos of shabu wrapped in plastic with an estimated value of P108.8 million in a suitcase and the marked money.
He was arrested after weeks of surveillance by anti-illegal drug operatives.
Mudah was caught a week after seven suspects bolted out of the PDEA detention center here.
Three of the escapees were arrested in a buy-bust operation on May 3 where the shabu worth P146.2 million was confiscated.
An investigation was launched by PDEA to probe the escape.
Mudah was detained at the CIDG detention facility here.
