Police Lt. Col. John Joel Batusbatusan, Cadiz police chief, said the victim was found unconscious while hanging on the wires of a concrete electrical post around 6 a.m.

It took about 40 minutes for rescuers to remove the victim as they had to request for a vehicle that would enable them to reach him.

Batusbatusan said the victim was declared dead in a hospital. A pair of pliers was recovered from the victim but police could not say why he had the tool with him.

Since it was a non-crime, Batusbatusan said that they could no longer dig deeper on the other details of the case, including the reason of the victim for climbing the electrical post.
