Manila VM Yul Servo leads inauguration of hearing equipment at Binondo hospital

Manila Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul" Servo led the inauguration of the Affinity Hearing Equipment at Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital (JJASGH) in Binondo, Manila.

With the support of the office of Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan, the inauguration was held on Thursday, May 16, together with JJASGH Director Merle Sacdalan-Faustino, Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) Nelson Guevarra, Manila Chinatown Barangay Organization (MCBO) President Jefferson Lau, Manila Rotarians, and Group of Lawful Friends (GOLF).

The hearing equipment is an initiative of Faustino and part of the program of JJASGH that aims to help more residents in the city who have hearing problems.

Meanwhile, JJASGH also conducted a workshop for its staff to learn about the various hazards and risks that can affect their work, as well as the hazards that could affect the environment.

Dr. Ryan Capitulo had a lecture about the hospital's green viability assessment, which aims to protect the environment by reducing pollutants and waste in hospitals in Manila.

JJASGH also conducted a seminar about ISO 14001 and 45001, or the Integrated Management System, as an awareness training for the FFCCCII.

ISO 14001 is a 2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) which provides a system for measuring and improving an organization's environmental impact.

ISO 45001 is a 2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) which provides a system for measuring and improving an organization's health and safety impact.
