Man drowns in beach resort in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY – A 50-year-old man drowned in a beach resort in Barangay San Isidro, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, May 15.

Police Major Ronald Santillan, Calatrava police chief, said the victim was a resident of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

The victim had a drinking session with his family and friends before he went to the sea unnoticed.

After a while, one of his friends saw a person floating on the sea. They checked and found the victim unconscious.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
