Laborer dies after being hit with metal cutter during domestic dispute
BACOLOD CITY – A construction worker died after an electrical technician hit him with a metal cutter during a domestic dispute in Barangay Handumanan here on Wednesday, May 15.

Police identified the victim as Richie Castro, 46.
Police Capt. Lelanie Lagoting, head of Police Station 10, said the 42-year-old suspect went to the house of his former lover who is also the victim’s former live-in partner.
The suspect and his former lover figured in an argument, prompting the woman's child to ask help from the victim, who is his father.
The victim rushed to the house of his former live-in partner who is pregnant and pacified her and the suspect.
However, the victim and the suspect figured in a fistfight and a brief chase.
Lagoting said the suspect went home and obtained a metal scissors cutter and hit he victim in the left ear.
The victim was declared dead at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) here.
Lagoting said the suspect surrendered to the police and will face homicide charges.
