Scattered rains may pour in some parts of Luzon due to shear line
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, May 16 said parts of northeastern Luzon may experience rain showers due to the shear line.

In PAGASA’s 4 a.m. live broadcast, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said Cagayan Valley, Batanes, and Isabela may have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Aurelio said hot and humid weather may persist in most parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, while it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of isolated showers in the afternoon or evening.
He noted that there will be no Low Pressure Area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility and likewise in the Pacific Ocean.
“This Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) outside our area of responsibility, will not affect the country for the next 24 hours,” Aurelio added.
