Gogoro Philippines, the electric scooter brand with a unique battery swapping ecosystem, hopes to entice more riders to join the fold with its latest model, the Pulse.

The Pulse takes a radical departure from its stablemates when it comes to design thanks to its new ‘AeroForce Design Concept. Evoking the image of a blade slicing through air, the Pulse bears strikingly angular styling. The body design directs air to cool the engine and minimize drag and turbulence. The result is an ultra aero-efficient look.

Besides design, the Pulse also bears a new motor feature that includes a Launch Control mode. Called the H1 Hyperdrive Engine, it allows riders to harness the motor’s full potential. The motor has a 8.0kW output and can propels the Smartscooter from 0 to 50 kph in a mere 3.05 seconds, and on to a top speed well over 100-kph. Equipped with a dual cooling system, this engine ensures optimal performance with every ride.

Finally, access to the scooter can also be programmed into the Apple Wallet app and Apple Find My feature. The Pulse can seamlessly and securely lock, unlock, and start with a simple tap of an iPhone device or Apple Watch device. With Apple Find My feature integration, Pulse riders can locate their Smartscooter via the Apple Find My app.

The Pulse is available in White, Silver, and Grey color options. The Gogoro Pulse Ultra variant will be available in the Philippines on a reservation basis only.  Prices start at ₱450,000, with financing plans to be introduced soon.

Easily the most ingenious feature of Gogoro Smartscooters is the battery-swapping technology that allows users to swap depleted batteries for fresher ones in a matter of seconds through the Gogoro Network. Riders have a choice between two energy plans: Plan 799 for up to 420 kms and Plan 999 for up to 700 kms per month.

Town Center Quezon City, White Plains, Quezon City, and Ayala Malls Feliz in Pasig. New stations are expected to open along C5, EDSA, Makati, and Alabang, with many more coming soon.
