Fisherfolk, tricycle drivers receive cash aid from Navotas LGU
A total of 3,832 registered Navoteño fisherfolk and tricycle drivers received cash aid under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The beneficiaries received P3,000 cash assistance each.
Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco said that the cash aid is the local government’s initiative to help them.
“Our fisherfolk and tricycle drivers are vital to our economy and daily life. We recognize the hardships they endure to provide for their families and we want to help lessen their financial burden,” he said.
"We have several initiatives aimed at providing sustainable livelihood such as the NavoBangkabuhayan program for our registered fisherfolk. We also have Tulong Negosyo carts and Tulong Puhunan for those who wish to start their own business," he added.
The city government will also give P2,000 cash assistance to the Saya ALL, Angat ALL Tulong para sa mga rehistradong Navoteño solo parents.
The beneficiaries include Navoteños who got their Solo Parent ID within the period of January to April 2024 and who did not qualify for the city's monthly cash assistance distributed last April.
