Diocese of Daet welcomes new administrator


The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) announced on Thursday, May 16, that Fr. Ronald Anthony Timoner has been named the new administrator of the Diocese of Daet.

The 52-year-old bishop will take over Archbishop Rex Andrew Alarcon, who previously led the Daet diocese but assumed a new position on May 2.

CBCP said as administrator, Timoner will manage the day-to-day affairs of the diocese until a new bishop is appointed.

Prior to his appointment, Timoner has been serving as the diocese’s vicar general. 

He previously served as administrator from April 2017, when Bishop Gilbert Garcera left to become Archbishop of Lipa, until March 2019 when Archbishop Alarcon arrived.
