Members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested man for allegedly selling a firearm in an entrapment operation in Quezon City, on May 15.

Police said the suspect, identified as Alvin Maravilla Castillo, 35, a resident of Barangay Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City, was arrested on Austin St. in Barangay Greater Fairview, Quezon City, at around 8:10 p.m.
The suspect was apprehended after a concerned citizen tipped off his illegal gun trade.
A police officer, who posed as a poseur-buyer, successfully bought a submachine gun worth P9,000 from the suspect.
Castillo will face charges for violation of the Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, police said.
