The Quezon Police District (QCPD) seized a total of 850,000 worth of illegal drugs and nabbed two suspects in separate buy-busts operations in Quezon City.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Robert Amoranto identified one of the suspects as Riza, 40, of Barangay Culiat, Quezon City.
According to PS10 report, they were informed by a private informant of the illegal activities of the suspect, prompting them to conduct a buy-bust operation.
The suspect was arrested at Scout Santiago on Wednesday, May 15, after a police officer acted as a poseur-buyer and bought P100,000.00 worth of shabu from her.
Recovered from the suspect were 100 grams of shabu valued at P680,000, a paper bag, and the buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, another entrapment operation led to the arrest of suspect Mark Julius, 27, of Brgy. Paltok, San Francisco Del Monte, Quezon City.
Authorities seized from him 25 grams of shabu worth P170,000, a cellular phone, a black belt bag, and the buy-bust money.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
