UNA Apartments, Arthaland’s newest masterpiece in Biñan, Laguna that is on track to be the first multi-certified mid-market residential development in the country, recently organized a pop-up display of its UNA Apartments Tower 2 Studio Unit at the ground floor of IKEA Pasay City at the SM Mall of Asia Complex.

IKEA’s patrons got to experience how UNA Apartments offers a living experience one step above with its host of sustainable and wellness features, high quality and superior design. In addition, they marveled at how each unit comes furnished with IKEA products – from the bedroom, kitchen, living and dining area, toilet and bath, and to the utility area.

This green home is equipped with energy-efficient air-conditioning systems, energy-efficient lighting, and low-flow plumbing fixtures, which offer residents water and energy savings by as much as 20 percent. Windows are operable to provide natural ventilation and optimize natural daylight, yet all units are airtight to prevent sound and odor transfer between walls. The Energy Recovery Ventilator assures good indoor air quality with commercial-grade MERV filters and the presence of a Carbon Monoxide Monitor.

Units are also more spacious with a high floor-to-ceiling height of 2.6 meters, and the floors are made with Stone Polymer Composite (SPC), which makes them more durable, water and scratch-resistant, and easier to clean. They can also take comfort in knowing their furnishings are sourced from renewable or recycled materials built to last. And lastly, you get a fantastic view of this sustainable community made up of 60 percent green and open spaces as all units have their own balcony.

“We are very excited for this opportunity to share our vision for UNA Apartments with IKEA’s many loyal customers. Tower 1 of UNA Apartments has been completely sold out so the unit on display was for Tower 2, and it featured the latest improvements, such as a designated space for the washer and dryer in the toilet and bath and the cabinet in the room is flushed to the wall for additional floor space,” said Oliver L. Chan, SVP and Chief Sustainability Officer of Arthaland.

Arthaland, the country’s foremost green developer and Swedish furniture company IKEA have been making big strides in promoting a sustainable future. At Arthaland, sustainability is deeply ingrained in every aspect of its business operations. It takes pride in being the first and only real estate developer in the Philippines with a residential and commercial portfolio 100 percent certified as sustainable by local and global organizations.

On the other hand, IKEA empowers people to live more sustainably; hence, it focuses on affordable, sustainably made products and home solutions. This mutual dedication has united the two enterprises in their mission to foster sustainable living among Filipino households.

“At IKEA, we want to impact people, society, and the planet positively. Our vision, to create a better everyday life for many people, is our inspiration,” says IKEA Philippines Country Retail Manager Gerard Jansen.

In celebration of the second anniversary of IKEA Pasay City last November, IKEA gave away a fully furnished studio unit at UNA Apartments to one lucky customer. Home makeover packages worth up to P100,000 were also given to other lucky customers.
