San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, together with his wife and Caring Keri Foundation President Keri Zamora, met with PCSO General Manager Mel Robles for the signing of the MOA and turnover of the check for the implementation of mental health awareness initiatives in the city.
"This support will go a long way with our projects particularly to those who are in need of psychological assistance. We also plan to do a mental health fair that will support new mothers, senior citizens, the youth, and anyone who are in need of psychological assistance," Mrs. Zamora said.
"Asahan nyo po na ang Caring Keri Foundation ay gagawa ng mga magagandang programa patungkol sa mental health na alam kong isa sa mga issues ngayon dahil sa dami ng mga taong merong mga inaalala at pinoproblema. It's really important to pay attention to proper mental health (Rest assured that the Caring Keri Foundation will continue with its programs on mental health which is one of the biggest issues confronting society today due to the number of people suffering from it. It's really important to pay attention to proper mental health)," the mayor explained.
Mrs. Zamora created the Caring Keri Foundation in 2019 to facilitate several family-oriented activities that focus on women’s health, the well-being of teenagers, and protection of the rights of women and children.
The foundation regularly holds programs on nutrition, free medical screenings such as pap smears, mammograms, and ultrasounds, mental health programs, medical procedures, and many others.
In February, the PCSO turned over 165 medical equipment and walking aid to the city of San Juan as part of its efforts in expanding its assistance to individuals in need.
A total of 25 blood pressure monitoring devices, 25 nebulizers, 25 glucose meters, 10 thermal scanners, and 10 pulse oximeters were given to the city government.
San Juaneños also received 25 wheelchairs, 15 walkers, 15 canes, and 15 crutches from the PCSO.
