Free graduation in all public elementary, high schools in Marikina - Mayor Marcy

Marikina City Mayor Marcy Teodoro announced on Wednesday, May 15, that public elementary and high school students of the city will graduate at no cost to their families under the city government's No Graduation Fee Collection program.

"Mahalagang araw ang graduation para sa bawat magulang at mag-aaral, kaya’t sinisigurado ko na lahat ng magsisipagtapos ay aakyat sa entablado nang walang hadlang. Ipinapatupad ang No Graduation Fee Collection sa lahat ng mababa at mataas na pampublikong paaralan dito sa Marikina (Graduation day is a very important day for each parent and student and I want to make sure that all graduates will finish their studies and climb up the stage without any issues. Hence, I am implementing the No Graduation Fee Collection in all public elementary and high schools here in Marikina)," Teodoro said.

"Walang kailangan bayaran, ibigay na kontribusyon, o alalahanin pang pangangailangan upang makapagtapos. Libre ang pagtatapos dahil lahat ng gastusin na may kaugnayan dito ay sasagutin na ng Pamahalaang Lungsod (Nothing is needed to be paid, there will be no contributions, and parents and students will have nothing to worry about in their graduation. Finishing one's studies is free as all expenses are shouldered by the city government)," he added.

The mayor said the city will also provide free toga rental and graduation photo for all graduates this year.
