On May 3, 2024, the Singapore Embassy in Manila was delighted to present singer-songwriter and pianist Michelle SgP, Singapore’s homegrown music talent, at the PI JazzFest 2024— “Colors of Jazz.”

Accompanied by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, Michelle performed to a sold-out concert held at Sofitel Manila Garden, enthralling the audience with her original compositions that reflected her unique blend of genres. The esteemed audience included former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, senators, mayors, government leaders, members of the diplomatic and consular corps, and captains of business and industry.

Organized by the Philippine International Jazz and Arts Foundation, the night’s other performers included some of the best talents from the Philippines, the P.I. Jazz All Stars, and The Brass Munkeys, as well as Khaossia from Italy.

This event was held in celebration of 55 years of Singapore-Philippines diplomatic relations established on May 16, 1969. The milestone anniversary is being commemorated this year with a series of events, including high-level visits and exchanges.

Singapore Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan visited the Philippines last April 15 to 18, 2024. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is scheduled to visit Singapore this month to deliver the keynote address at the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue.
This event was made possible with support from the Singapore Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth; and the Singapore Embassy in Manila.
