The Social Security System (SSS) signed an agreement with the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation in Taguig to assign social security numbers to 3,800 youth leaders and barangay workers for them to start saving early for retirement.
The signing of the agreement was held when the Taguig City government hosted the Social Security System (SSS) Stakeholders Forum on May 14 at the Convention Center of the New City Hall Building in Barangay Ususan.

Another agreement was signed for the KaSSSangga Collect Program, providing social security to 60 barangay workers in Taguig and other nearby cities, along with 70 job order workers from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Other collaborations were established with various barangays and private companies to set up localized SSS E-centers to improve access to SSS online services.
The agreements were facilitated by SSS president and CEO Rolando Ledesma Macasaet and are part of ongoing efforts to extend social security benefits to various community members.
The event also included a forum allowing stakeholders to discuss and clarify SSS policies directly with officials.
Mayor Lani Cayetano made reference to Taguig’s recognition in the 2023 Balikat ng Bayan Awards.
“Palagi po kaming magpapasalamat sa SSS dahil binigyan po nila ng pagkilala ang efforts ng City Government of Taguig. Na-recognize po kami for our adherence to Social Security Law as well as our significant efforts in providing high-quality services to every Taguigeño (We will always thank the SSS because they recognized the efforts of the City Government of Taguig.
