Rizal Police seize ₱2.2M illegal drugs in 1 week

The anti-illegal drugs operations of the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) in just one week have resulted in the confiscation of some ₱2,225,300 worth of illegal drugs and in the arrest of 40 personalities.

Reports from Rizal PPO director Col. Felipe Maraggun showed that the 24 anti-illegal drugs operations by the various police stations and operating units had yielded 327.25 grams of illegal drugs from May 6 to 12.

The biggest of the anti-illegal drugs operations in Rizal Province was the buy-bust operation on May 11 in Barangay Pag-asa in Binangonan, Rizal where one suspect was arrested, tagged by the police as a High Value Individual and ₱1,509,192 worth of illegal drugs seized.

The Rizal PPO operatives and the city and municipal police stations also arrested five persons in possession of loose firearms, 15 for illegal gambling, and 40 wanted persons,
